COBI Sherman M4A3E2 "Jumbo"

As the Allies advanced into Europe the shortcomings of existing tanks against the more powerful German anti-tank guns became increasingly evident. One response to this was the creation of the M4A3E2 Sherman "Jumbo" Assault tank. Featuring thick frontal armor and an up-armored turret the "Jumbo" provided significantly better protection even capable of withstanding the infamous 88mm. The success of these would go on to inspire the creation of other designs like the T26E5 and T32, although those would not reach combat or full-scale production.

This 720 piece set recreates the most iconic of these tanks the "Cobra King" complete with pad printing of the "First in Bastogne" inscription on the side. That same tank survives today at the National Museum of the United States Army.
